Effect of Reinforcing Steel on the Impact Resistance of Reinforced Concrete Panel Subjected to Hard-Projectile Impact

Sangho Lee et al.

Summary: The impact resistance of reinforced concrete structures is significantly affected by the spacing of reinforcing steel, with narrower spacing improving resistance due to enhanced confining and fragment trapping effects. The yield strength or diameter of the reinforcing steel does not have a significant impact on impact resistance.
