Liquid metals dealloying as a general approach for the selective extraction of metals and the fabrication of nanoporous metals: A review

Xueyi Guo et al.

Summary: Liquid metal dealloying, a method based on differences in solubilities of alloy components in liquid metal, has been developed for recycling alloy scraps and producing nano-porous materials. It offers more efficient and environmentally friendly metal recovery compared to traditional processes, and allows precise control of nano-pore morphology. This method opens new avenues for alloy recycling and nano-porous metal fabrication, as well as other promising applications.

Effects of coexisting Na+, Mg2+ and Fe3+on nitrogen and phosphorus removal and sludge properties using A2O process

Lanhe Zhang et al.

Summary: The study found that when the Na+ concentration was 0.5 g/L and the Mg2+/Fe3+ molar ratio was 3, the removal efficiencies of COD, TN, and TP were the highest at 95%, 89%, and 90% respectively. The distribution pattern of alkaline phosphatase in the sludge was found to be Pellet > tightly bound extracellular polymeric substances (TB-EPS) > loosely bound extracellular polymeric substances (LB-EPS) > supernatant.

Capacity of myofibrillar protein to adsorb characteristic fishy-odor compounds: Effects of concentration, temperature, ionic strength, pH and yeast glucan addition

Chao Xue et al.

Summary: The study investigated the adsorption capacity of myofibrillar protein (MP) for fishy-odors under various conditions such as concentration, temperature, pH, ionic strength, and yeast glucan (YG) addition. It was found that low ionic strength and extreme pH values could enhance MP's adsorption for off-odors, while high ionic strength might reduce its adsorption. Addition of YG was shown to be effective in enhancing the adsorption of off-odors due to its specific surface area and stability.

Core-shell chitosan microsphere with antimicrobial and vascularized functions for promoting skin wound healing

Hao Li et al.

Summary: This study developed chitosan (CS) microspheres with a core-shell structure encapsulating antimicrobial polypeptide (PonG1) and bFGF to effectively treat bacterial infection in wound locations and speed up wound healing. In vivo experiments demonstrated that CS microspheres containing PonG1 and bFGF had the best neovascularization and anti-inflammatory effects, with the strongest ability to repair skin wounds.
