Stability of cannabidiol, Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol, and cannabinol under stress conditions

Jiroj Yangsud et al.

Summary: The study validated an HPLC method for determining the stability of cannabidiol, Delta(9)-tetrahydrocannabinol, and cannabinol, as well as investigating their degradation kinetics. The results showed that the method had a linear response, specificity, accuracy, and reported detection and quantitation limits. Under various stress conditions, the cannabinoids exhibited different stabilities and degradation rates.

Research on the fate of polymeric nanoparticles in the process of the intestinal absorption based on model nanoparticles with various characteristics: size, surface charge and pro-hydrophobics

Shiqi Guo et al.

Summary: This study investigated the absorption of intestinal nanoparticles through different stages and found that the behavior of NPs in each stage varied due to differences in particle properties. Results showed that small size, low negative charge, and moderate hydrophilicity facilitated NPs passing through the small intestinal mucus layer, while appropriate size, positive surface charge, and hydrophobic properties helped NPs complete the process of transintestinal epithelial cell transport.

Different Cannabis sativa Extraction Methods Result in Different Biological Activities against a Colon Cancer Cell Line and Healthy Colon Cells

Jan Rozanc et al.

Summary: Different extraction methods of cannabis were tested for their effects on cannabinoid content, antioxidant properties, and bioactivity on colon cancer and healthy colon cells. The results showed that properly prepared cannabis extracts can reduce cancer cell viability while protecting healthy cells. However, the post-processing of extracts poses a limitation in predicting therapeutic response based on the original composition.
