Mantle dynamics of the Andean Subduction Zone from continent-scale teleseismic S-wave tomography

Emily E. Rodriguez et al.

Summary: The Andean Subduction Zone is a long continuous subduction zone on Earth, ideal for studying subduction zone dynamics. Utilizing data from over 1000 seismic stations deployed across South America, a finite-frequency teleseismic S-wave tomography model of the mantle beneath the Andean Subduction Zone related to the Nazca Plate was produced.
