Room Temperature Enhancement of Electronic Materials by Superacid Analogues

Sophie L. Pain et al.

Summary: Treatment with superacid bis-(trifluoromethanesulfonyl) amide enhances the properties of optoelectronic materials, resulting in longer effective carrier lifetimes and higher photoluminescence quantum yields. A study on crystalline silicon and transition metal dichalcogenide monolayers and flakes shows that structurally similar chemicals give passivating films with different charge levels, and treatment with analogues to TFSA can enhance the photoluminescence of MoS2 and WS2.

Colloidal Synthesis and Tunable Multicolor Emission of Vacancy-Ordered Cs2HfCl6 Perovskite Nanocrystals

Siping Liu et al.

Summary: This study presents the colloidal synthesis of lead-free vacancy-ordered Cs2HfCl6 perovskite NCs using hafnium acetylacetonate as metal precursors and proposes a passivation strategy for sub-bandgap trap states by doping Sb3+ ions. Additionally, the introduction of lanthanide ions enables tunable multicolor emissions in Cs2HfCl6 NCs, providing effective strategies for tuning the optical properties of lead-free vacancy-ordered perovskite NCs.

Partial Substitution of Pb2+ in CsPbI3 as an Efficient Strategy To Design Fairly Stable All-Inorganic Perovskite Formulations

Marina Ustinova et al.

Summary: All-inorganic lead halide perovskites like CsPbI3 show higher stability in perovskite solar cells compared to hybrid analogues, but CsPbI3 absorbers undergo rapid phase transition at low temperatures. By substituting Pb2+ with specific cations, the stability of CsPbI3 films under realistic solar cell operation conditions was significantly enhanced, leading to improved efficiency in preliminary experiments.

Highly Luminescent and Stable CsPbI3 Perovskite Nanocrystals with Sodium Dodecyl Sulfate Ligand Passivation for Red-Light-Emitting Diodes

Jibin Zhang et al.

Summary: This study introduces stable and highly luminescent black-phase CsPbI3 nanocrystals passivated by novel ligands of sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), which exhibit significantly reduced surface defects, enhanced stability, and superior photoluminescence efficiency. Red perovskite light-emitting diodes based on the SDS-CsPbI3 nanocrystals achieve an external quantum efficiency of 8.4%, showing a 4-fold improvement compared to devices using oleic acid-modified CsPbI3 nanocrystals.

Enhancement of Light Amplification of CsPbBr3 Perovskite Quantum Dot Films via Surface Encapsulation by PMMA Polymer

Saif M. H. Qaid et al.

Summary: Photonic devices based on perovskite materials show promising potential for future applications due to their broad bandgaps and light amplification capabilities. This study focuses on improving the light amplification characteristics of CsPbBr3 perovskite quantum dot films by using surface encapsulation techniques, resulting in enhanced emission efficiency, photoluminescence, and stability under laser pumping. The addition of a polymer coating and PMMA reflectors significantly reduces the ASE threshold while also improving exposure stability, contributing to the overall enhancement of emission and photoluminescence properties.

Enhancement of photoluminescence and the stability of CsPbX3 (X = Cl, Br, and I) perovskite nanocrystals with phthalimide passivation

V. G. Vasavi Dutt et al.

Summary: This study investigates the effects of incorporating additional ligands during the synthesis of CsPbX3 NCs on the optical properties and stability of lead halide perovskite nanocrystals. The results demonstrate that phthalimide passivation can significantly enhance the photoluminescence quantum yield and improve the stability of NCs. Different types of cesium lead halide perovskite nanocrystals show dramatic improvements in photoluminescence intensity and stability after phthalimide passivation.
