Neural Network Representation of Three-State Quasidiabatic Hamiltonians Based on the Transformation Properties from a Valence Bond Model: Three Singlet States of H3+

Zhengxi Yin et al.

Summary: The study investigates the transformation properties of quasidiabatic Hamiltonians for two-state systems with conical intersections using neural network approach and extends it to accurately diabatize the three lowest electronic singlet states of H-3(+). The accuracy and flexibility of the approach is validated by reproducing ab initio adiabatic energies and energy gradients, and the method shows great potential in resolving diabatization problems for various systems.

Diabatization around Conical Intersections with a New Phase-Corrected Valence-Bond-Based Compression Approach

Yang Zhang et al.

Summary: This study extends the valence-bond-based compression approach for diabatization to the more general situation of conical intersections and introduces a pointwise phase-correction scheme for diabatic states. The undetermination of degenerate states around a conical intersection can be fixed naturally from a classical VB picture.

Long-Range Interactions Boost Singlet Exciton Diffusion in Nanofibers of π-Extended Polymer Chains

Suryoday Prodhan et al.

Summary: Increasing the diffusion distance of singlet excitons can solve the exciton diffusion issue in solar cells. Research on highly ordered conjugated polymer nanofibers with singlet exciton diffusion length exceeding 300 nm is intriguing. Singlet exciton diffusion in P3HT fibers is highly sensitive to the interplay between delocalization along polymer chains and long-range interactions along the stacks.

A general charge transport picture for organic semiconductors with nonlocal electron-phonon couplings

Weitang Li et al.

Summary: The nonlocal electron-phonon couplings in organic semiconductors responsible for the fluctuation of intermolecular transfer integrals have attracted recent interest. Through a numerical study of the Holstein-Peierls model, different scenarios like phonon-assisted transport, transient localization, and band-like transport were identified, each with distinct transport behaviors and characteristics. An intermediate regime was also identified where none of the established pictures applies, showing that the generally perceived hopping regime is limited within the proposed paradigm.
