Bi2V1-x(Mg0.25Cu0.25Ni0.25Zn0.25)xO5.5-3x/2: A high entropy dopant BIMEVOX

A. Dziegielewska et al.

Summary: A new BIMEVOX ceramic system was prepared using a high entropy dopant approach, resulting in the observation of a specific gamma-type phase within a certain compositional range. Changes in defect structure were used to explain the variation in lattice parameters with compositional changes, while the high entropy dopant approach did not have a detrimental effect on ionic conductivity.

Novel intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell based on La-doped Bi4V2O11 electrolyte

G. Pasciak et al.

Summary: The study investigated an electrolyte supported intermediate temperature solid oxide fuel cell (IT-SOFC) based on Bi4V2O11 (BIVOX) ceramic stabilized by doping with La, which achieved stabilization of the good oxygen ion-conductive gamma phase. The addition of La significantly increased the lifetime of the SOFC and improved the thermodynamic stability of the BIVOX electrolyte in reducing atmosphere. This is the first report on the construction and electrical properties of fuel cells based on BIMEVOX (BIVOX doped with Metal) ceramics.
