Co2P nanosheet cocatalyst-modified Cd0.5Zn0.5S nanoparticles as 2D-0D heterojunction photocatalysts toward high photocatalytic activity

Zhibin Liang et al.

Summary: A novel Co2P(8) nanosheet cocatalyst was successfully synthesized and used to enhance the photocatalytic H-2 generation performance of Cd0.5Zn0.5S nanoparticles, resulting in significant improvements in carrier recombination rate and overpotential reduction for H+. The introduction of the Co2P(8) nanosheet cocatalyst led to a high H-2 evolution rate of 68.02 mmol g(-1)h(-1) and a 30.1% apparent quantum efficiency at 420 nm, approximately 103 times higher than that of bare CZS.
