Mechanisms involved in regulation of periodontal ligament cell production of pro-inflammatory cytokines: Implications in periodontitis

Modulators like dexamethasone, vitamin D, and LL-37 have been shown to reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines by PDL cells, suggesting their potential role in regulating oral innate immunity and periodontitis.
