Quantitative assessment of brachial plexus MRI for the diagnosis of chronic inflammatory neuropathies

Marieke H. J. van Rosmalen et al.

Summary: This study developed a quantitative approach to assess abnormalities on MRI of the brachial plexus in CIDP and MMN patients, finding larger nerve root sizes compared to controls with optimal reliability in coronal measurements. The AUC for measurements at G(0) was 0.78 and at G(1) was 0.81, suggesting MRI can serve as an important additional diagnostic tool.
