Molecular dynamics, quantum mechanics and docking studies of some Keap1 inhibitors - An insight into the atomistic mechanisms of their antioxidant potential

Temitope Isaac Adelusi et al.

Summary: In this computational study, potential Keap1 inhibitors were identified among antioxidants, with Maslinic acid, 18-alpha-glycyrrhetinic acid, and resveratrol showing promising binding affinity and stability. Resveratrol emerged as the most stable compound with the best therapeutic efficacy, highlighting its potential as a drug candidate for oxidative stress-mediated diseases.

Direct Keap1-kelch inhibitors as potential drug candidates for oxidative stress-orchestrated diseases: A review on In silico perspective

Ibrahim Damilare Boyenle et al.

Summary: This study highlights the use of Computer Aided Drug Discovery (CADD) to identify Keap1 inhibitors, emphasizing the functionalities that can be exploited for targeting Keap1-Nrf2 PPI. Through computational methods, compounds perfectly fitting the keap1 kelch pocket/domain were found, opening possibilities for developing new drugs to treat diseases caused by oxidative stress.
