A new mixed ligand coordination polymer has been synthesized through solvothermal reactions, showing good thermal and acid/base stability, as well as excellent sensitivity and selectivity for 2,4,6-trinitrophenol and 4-nitrophenol. The detection mechanism for nitro compounds has also been further studied through experiments and calculations.
A new mixed ligand coordination polymer [Cd(L)center dot H2O](n) (1) has been synthesized under solvothermal reactions of Cd(NO3)(2)center dot 4H(2)O and 2-amino-4, 4'-biphthalic acid (H2L). In complex 1 , the coordination waters linked adjacent Cd(II) ions to form 1D chain [Cd(H2O)](n) , then the-NH2 and carboxylic acid groups in the ligand connect these 1D chains into 3D framework, it shows good thermal and acid/base stability. Photoluminescent experiments show that complex 1 exhibits excellent sensitive and selective detections abilities for 2, 4, 6-trinitrophenol (TNP) and 4-nitrophenol (4-NP). As well, the detection mechanism of complex 1 for nitro compounds were also further investigated by both experimentations and calculations. (C) 2021 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
