In this study, a single crystal of sodium nitrate doped with acetamide (NAAC) was grown and characterized by various analyses such as XRD, FT-IR, and UV-Visible Spectral analysis. The crystal demonstrated wide transparency range and mechanical strength, with its morphology analyzed through etching studies. Additionally, the crystal's antioxidant, antidiabetic, and anticancer activities were also evaluated.
Single crystal of sodium nitrate doped with acetamide (NAAC) has been grown from an aqueous solution with equimolar concentration at room temperature by slow evaporation Method. This crystal, characterized by Single crystal XRD, Powder XRD, FT-IR, UV-Visible Spectral analysis, Microhardness, Etching Studies. X-ray diffraction analysis indicated the crystal system as Rhombohedral. The functional groups have been identified using Fourier transform infrared spectral analysis. The UV-Vis spectral analysis shows that these crystals have wide transparency range in the entire visible region. Mechanical strength of the grown crystal was estimated by Vicker's hardness test. Morphology of the crystal shown by Etching analysis. This crystalwere analyzed by the antioxidant, antidiabetic, anticancer activity studies. (c) 2021 Published by Elsevier B.V.
