A near-infrared fluorescent probe with large Stokes shift for visualizing and monitoring mitochondrial viscosity in live cells and inflammatory tissues

Summary: A novel mitochondrial viscosity probe, DICB, with high sensitivity and ability to detect changes in mitochondrial viscosity in cell models has been designed and synthesized. Additionally, DICB can be applied to detect abnormal mitochondrial viscosity in inflammatory tissues, providing a universal strategy to study the relationship between inflammation and mitochondrial viscosity.

Synthesis, crystal structure, aggregation-induced emission enhancement and electroluminescence properties of a novel compound containing carbazole and triarylborane groups

Summary: A novel compound DB-BCZ was synthesized using carbazole as electron donors and triarylborane as an electron acceptor. It exhibits good thermal stability and AIEE feature, with a twisted propeller configuration in the crystal structure. The non-doped OLED with DB-BCZ as the emitting layer shows promising performance in terms of efficiency and stability.

Summary: Carbazole dyes are crucial organic molecules used in dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Two novel organic dyes, DRA-BDC and DTB-BDC, designed with specific electron acceptors and donors, showed good photophysical and electrochemical properties for improved solar cell performance. The theoretical studies using density functional theory model provided additional insights on the molecular characteristics and potential applications in photovoltaics.

D-A-π-A Carbazole Dyes Bearing Fluorenone Acceptor for Dye Sensitized Solar Cells

Summary: Three novel D-A-pi-A carbazole sensitizing dyes were synthesized with fluorenone as the auxiliary acceptor, benzene, furan and thiophene as pi bridge and cyanoacrylic acid as the anchoring acceptor, showing improved efficiency in photoelectric conversion. The introduction of different bridge groups affects the short-circuit current density and open-circuit voltage differently, with the dye containing a benzene bridge exhibiting the highest efficiency.
