Volumetric, compressibility and viscometric properties of diphenhydramine hydrochloride in aqueous solutions of electrolytes: An insight into interactional characteristics

Sapna Sharma et al.

Summary: This study measured the density, speed of sound, and viscosity of aqueous solutions of the anti-histaminic drug diphenhydramine hydrochloride with different electrolytes. The effects of drug concentration and temperature on the interactional behavior of the system were analyzed, showing the role of specific and non-specific interactions between the drug and electrolytes in solution stabilization. The results were used to elucidate solute/solvent-solvent/solute interactions in aqueous electrolytic solutions.

Exploring the solvation behavior of guanidinium based carboxylate ionic liquids in DMSO and DMF through apparent molar properties

Venkatachalam Ramkumar et al.

Summary: The solvation behavior of 1,1,3,3 tetramethylguanidinium ionic liquids containing different carboxylate anions in dimethylsulfoxide and dimethylformamide was studied through apparent molar properties to analyze the influence of IL anions and temperature. The interactions between ion-ion and ion-solvent were investigated through the experimental measurements of density and speed of sound, with a focus on the effects of carbon chain length on the studied ILs' properties.

Comparative study of the volumetric properties of three regioisomers of diazoted C-tetra(propyl)resorcin[4]arene in DMSO at various temperatures

Mauricio Maldonado et al.

Summary: Three upper rim functionalized azoresorcin[4]arenes were synthesized by coupling C-tetra(propyl)resorcin[4]arene with diazonium salts of aminobenzoic acid regioisomers. The characterization was performed by elemental analysis, FT-IR, and H-1 NMR. Thermodynamic parameters were derived to understand intermolecular interactions and the influence of carboxylic group position on properties was analyzed.
