Risk of Coronavirus Disease 2019 Transmission in Train Passengers: an Epidemiological and Modeling Study

Maogui Hu et al.

Summary: The study found that there is a high transmission risk of COVID-19 among train passengers, but this risk varies significantly with co-travel time and seat location. As co-travel time increases, the risk of infection also increases, and measures should be taken to reduce transmission risk, such as increasing seat distance, reducing passenger density, and using personal hygiene protection.

Chaos cloud quantum bat hybrid optimization algorithm

Ming-Wei Li et al.

Summary: The paper proposes a hybrid optimization algorithm, the Chaotic Cloud Quantum Bats Algorithm (CCQBA), which improves performance by enhancing evolution mechanism, local search mechanism, mutation mechanism, and other aspects. Compared to alternative algorithms, CCQBA demonstrates significantly better convergence accuracy and speed, making it a superior method for solving complex problems.

Mathematical modeling of coronavirus disease COVID-19 dynamics using CF and ABC non-singular fractional derivatives

Virender Singh Panwar et al.

Summary: This article studied the transmission dynamics of Coronavirus Disease COVID-19 using the SEIR compartmental model and two non-singular kernel fractional derivative operators, CF and ABC models. The models were used predictively to demonstrate long-term trajectories of COVID-19 and the basic reproduction number expression. Local stability of equilibrium points and the existence and uniqueness of solutions were also investigated in both models. Comparisons showed significant effects on epidemic dynamics for non-integer tau value using the ABC approach, while the CF approach demonstrated promise for mild cases. Identical results were found for integer tau values in both approaches.

Application of variational mode decomposition and chaotic grey wolf optimizer with support vector regression for forecasting electric loads

Zichen Zhang et al.

Summary: Accurate electric load forecasting is crucial for the efficiency of power system operation. Hybrid intelligent computing methods and swarm-based algorithms, along with the SVR model, show promising results in solving convergence issues. The proposed VMD-SVR-CGWO model outperforms other models in forecasting accuracy based on numerical examples from two electric load data sets.
