Machine learning techniques and older adults processing of online information and misinformation: A covid 19 study

Summary: This study examines the potential of Artificial Intelligence's Machine Learning techniques in distinguishing between information and misinformation, as well as the information processing behavior of older adults during the COVID-19 infodemic. Study 1 achieved high classification accuracy using ML techniques, while Study 2 found that older adults were more inclined to trust traditional media and often confused about online content related to COVID-19.
