Race-Specific Prevalence of Hidradenitis Suppurativa

Muskaan Sachdeva et al.

Summary: This study investigated the race-specific prevalence of Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS) and found the highest rates among African American populations, lowest among Hispanics/Latinos, and intermediate among Caucasian populations. Other ethnic groups had minor prevalence compared to African American and Caucasian populations. Further international research is needed to accurately assess the frequency and underlying etiology of HS among varying racial populations.
