Recent progress in carbon-based materials for supercapacitor electrodes: a review

Summary: With increased energy consumption, various energy types have been stimulated, leading to the development of supercapacitors as an important energy storage device due to their advantages of micro-size, lightweight, high power density, and long cycle life. Significant progress has been made in the advancement of supercapacitors, especially in electrode materials, with a focus on carbon materials. The research includes different dimensional carbon-based materials and biomass-derived carbon materials, discussing their characteristics, fabrication methods, and performance as electrode materials.
