The substrate's period and gradient of the exchange integral have a direct impact on the change in phase transition temperature, while the substrate potential and coverage coefficient have complex effects on the phase transition in the spin system. The phase transition temperature can be either increased or decreased depending on the coverage coefficient, whether it is 0.1 or 1.
We have investigated the substrate influence on the Curie temperature of 2D magnet using the simple Ising model on a square lattice and the Frenkel-Kontorova potential for the substrate. We have found that the change in the phase transition temperature is directly proportional to the gradient of the exchange integral and the period of the substrate. The incommensurate arrangement of atoms with respect to the substrate potential leads to complex effects, such as the influence of the substrate potential and the coverage coefficient on the phase transition in the spin system. Moreover, the phase transition temperature can be increased or decreased, either the coverage coefficient is 0 1 or 0 1. Our results will help to understand deeply the effect of substrate on magnetic properties of 2D magnets.
