Potential adverse impacts on vulnerability and availability of groundwater from climate-change and land use

Aurora Mendieta-Mendoza et al.

Summary: The study evaluated the vulnerability and recharge of an aquifer in Chihuahua, Mexico, using weighted indices and projected the impact of climate change and land use on future conditions. Results show that vulnerable zones of the aquifer are mainly in agricultural land use areas, and climate change will negatively affect recharge and vulnerability of the aquifer.
