A framework to develop joint nutrient criteria for lake eutrophication management in eutrophic lakes

Zhongyao Liang et al.

Summary: The development of joint nutrient criteria through quantile regression (QR) offers a solution to the obstacles of independent nutrient criteria development and the lack of linkage between nutrient criteria and the percentile-based compliance assessment method of chlorophyll a (CHL). By selecting the best models, conducting visualizations with contour maps, and deducing nutrient criteria through QR, efficient load reduction strategies and site-specific lake eutrophication management can be facilitated.

Bayesian change point quantile regression approach to enhance the understanding of shifting phytoplankton-dimethyl sulfide relationships in aquatic ecosystems

Zhongyao Liang et al.

Summary: Dimethyl sulfide (DMS) plays various roles in aquatic ecosystems and its relationship with chlorophyll a is crucial for estimating DMS emissions. Recent research has found a threshold in the CHL-DMS relationship, requiring different regression methods for different sections to enhance understanding.
