A regenerable N-rich hierarchical porous carbon synthesized from waste biomass for H2S removal at room temperature

Lin Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, nitrogen-rich hierarchical porous carbons (NPCs) were synthesized from cypress saw-dust via a one-step strategy, showing excellent performance for H2S removal with high sulfur capacity and regeneration ability. The NPCs with carbon nitride (CN) loading exhibited a hierarchical porous structure with high nitrogen content, identified as active sites for H2S adsorption. These results demonstrate that NPCs are promising catalysts for efficient H2S removal with low cost and high reusability.

N-doped graphite encapsulated metal nanoparticles catalyst for removal of Bisphenol A via activation of peroxymonosulfate: A singlet oxygen-dominated oxidation process

Junjie You et al.

Summary: In this study, a NiZn@N-G-900 catalyst derived from metal-organic frameworks (MOF) was successfully utilized to activate PMS for the degradation of BPA in water. Encapsulation of graphite or N-doped graphite layers can adjust surface charge distribution and enhance charge transfer ability, facilitating PMS adsorption and activation, ultimately improving catalytic performance.
