Prophylactic clipping after endoscopic mucosal resection of large nonpedunculated colorectal lesions: A meta-analysis

Summary: Prophylactic clipping can effectively reduce delayed bleeding following endoscopic mucosal resection of large nonpedunculated colorectal lesions, particularly at proximal locations. Complete wound closure is more effective in preventing bleeding compared to partial closure, but no benefit was observed for clipping in preventing perforation or post-polypectomy syndrome. Further cost analyses are needed to determine the most cost-effective strategies.
