Myricetin ameliorates sepsis-associated acute lung injury in a murine sepsis model

Haibo Xu et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that myricetin improves survival rate, inhibits inflammatory and oxidative stress responses, reduces mitochondrial damage, and exerts protective effects on sepsis lung injury by activating the Nrf2/HO-1 pathway in a murine sepsis model.

Anti-fatigue activity of purified flavonoids prepared from chestnut (Castanea mollissima) flower

Fei Peng et al.

Summary: The study found that purified Chestnut flower flavonoids (CFF) exhibit excellent free radical scavenging and anti-fatigue effects, significantly prolonging swimming time in mice. CFF also reduces levels of lactate dehydrogenase, blood lactic acid, blood urea nitrogen, and creatine kinase, while increasing liver and muscle glycogen. Additionally, CFF up-regulates PGC-1? and PPAR? expression in mouse skeletal muscle, indicating that it exerts an anti-fatigue effect through energy reserves and oxidative stress inhibition.
