Does Concentrated Growth Factor Used With Allografts in Maxillary Sinus Lifting Have Adjunctive Benefits?

Emine Adali et al.

Summary: The study showed that using CGF with allografts in sinus lifting surgery can support new bone formation and increase augmentation stability. Group 2 had less bone height resorption compared to Group 1, although there was no significant difference in new bone formation between the two groups.

Clinical evaluation of the treatment of multiple gingival recessions with connective tissue graft or concentrated growth factor using tunnel technique: a randomized controlled clinical trial

Birsen Korkmaz et al.

Summary: The study compared the efficacy of tunnel technique (TT) combined with concentrated growth factor (CGF) versus connective tissue graft (CTG) for root coverage in treating multiple gingival recessions (GR). Results showed that TT + CGF did not perform as well as TT + CTG in achieving complete root coverage, averaging root coverage, gingival thickness, and other clinical parameters for Miller Class I and II GR. Further research is needed to fully understand the clinical effects of CGF in combination with TT for GR treatment.

Three-dimensional quantitative measurement of buccal augmented tissue with modified coronally advanced tunnel technique and de-epithelialized gingival graft: a prospective case series

Fei Xue et al.

Summary: The study aimed to analyze buccal tissue alterations post-surgery using MCAT technique and DGG within 1 year based on intraoral scanning. Results showed stable buccal tissue augmentation after 3 months post-op. Digital measurement can be a feasible and non-invasive evaluation method in periodontal plastic surgery for volumetric outcomes.
