Overcharging a Reissner-Nordstrom Taub-NUT regular black hole

Wen-Bin Feng et al.

Summary: Research suggests that overcharging a charged Taub-NUT regular black hole is possible through the scattering of a charged field and absorption of a charged particle. Both near-extremal and extremal black holes cannot be overcharged through charged scalar field scattering. While the event horizon of a near-extremal charged Taub-NUT regular black hole may be destroyed by absorption of a charged particle, it may not be overcharged if charge and energy cross the event horizon in a continuous path.

Black hole evaporation in de Sitter space

Ruth Gregory et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the evaporation process of a Kerr-de Sitter black hole with the Unruh-Hawking-like vacuum state and calculate the greybody factors for different particles. The presence of the cosmological constant dampens the amplification factor, approaching zero near the critical point where the Nariai and extremal limits merge. Despite the proximity to the critical point, gravitons exhibit more significant superradiance compared to photons and scalar particles, carrying angular momentum at a faster rate than mass energy decreases. The total entropy of the black hole and cosmological horizon increases with time, in accordance with the generalized second law of thermodynamics.

Overcounting of interior excitations: a resolution to the bags of gold paradox in AdS

Joydeep Chakravarty

Summary: This work investigates how single-sided and eternal black holes can contain a vast number of semiclassical excitations in their interior, proposing a new solution to resolve the paradox in entropy. By describing the interior of black holes in Hilbert space, the resolution of the paradox arising from the orthogonal relationships between these excitations is provided.
