MoO3/g-C3N4 Z-scheme (S-scheme) system derived from MoS2/melamine dual precursors for enhanced photocatalytic H2 evolution driven by visible light

Jinwen Shi et al.

Summary: A dual-precursors co-pyrolysis strategy was used to prepare MoO3/g-C3N4 composite photocatalysts, showing improved photocatalytic performance under visible-light irradiation. The MoS2 precursor facilitated intimate contact with g-C3N4 nanosheets and high dispersity of MoO3, while the strong interaction between MoO3 and g-C3N4 altered the morphology and electronic structure of g-C3N4, generating an efficient Z scheme system in the composite. This cooperative effect significantly enhanced the activity of photocatalytic H-2 evolution, providing valuable insight for the construction of composite photocatalyst systems for visible-light-driven H-2 evolution.

Hierarchical meso/macro-porous TiO2/graphitic carbon nitride nanofibers with enhanced hydrogen evolution

Xinxin Zou et al.

Summary: Constructing a hierarchical meso/macro-porous structure for TiO2/g-C3N4 nanofibers improves light absorption, carrier separation efficiency, and photocatalytic performance, leading to a higher H-2 evolution rate. This work presents a new strategy for enhancing hydrogen production and provides an ideal solution for TiO2/g-C3N4 photocatalysts.
