Selective removal of over-paintings from Street Art using an environmentally friendly nanostructured fluid loaded in highly retentive hydrogels

Michele Baglioni et al.

Summary: The study proposes a new cleaning method based on nanostructured fluid and retentive hydrogel for removing over-paintings or graffiti. Experimental results show that this method can effectively remove coatings with similar chemical compositions, providing a new tool for the conservation of contemporary art and street art.
