Physical Activity Patterns and Relationships With Cognitive Function in Patients With Breast Cancer Before, During, and After Chemotherapy in a Prospective, Nationwide Study

Elizabeth A. Salerno et al.

Summary: This study found that breast cancer patients experienced a decline in physical activity levels during chemotherapy, but those who followed national physical activity guidelines showed better cognitive function. Additionally, higher levels of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity were associated with better cognitive trajectories, and adherence to physical activity guidelines throughout chemotherapy was linked to better self-reported cognition.
