China's agricultural green total factor productivity based on carbon emission: An analysis of evolution trend and influencing factors

Dongdong Liu et al.

Summary: Through studying the development trend and influencing factors of China's agricultural green total factor productivity, it is found that agricultural carbon emissions are decreasing with fertilizers being the main source of emissions and increasing differences among provinces. To improve green agricultural productivity and promote high-quality economic development, measures such as promoting clean agricultural production, strengthening research and development in agriculture are necessary.

An economic analysis of agricultural adaptation to climate change impacts in Sri Lanka: An endogenous switching regression analysis

Kanesh Suresh et al.

Summary: The study demonstrates that most farmers perceive adverse impacts of climate change on agricultural production, but their adaptation measures substantially increase rice yields, benefiting both adapters and non-adapters. Farmers' access to climate related information, education, membership in farmer organizations, and size of plots are found to play a key role in the adaptation process.

The impact of the spatial agglomeration of foreign direct investment on green total factor productivity of Chinese cities

Dongsheng Yu et al.

Summary: This study found that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) has a positive impact on the green total factor productivity (TFP) of Chinese cities, especially in highly agglomerated cities. Therefore, it is necessary to go beyond the policy of administrative regions and fully leverage the radiation effect of highly agglomerated FDI cities to promote the green TFP of surrounding cities.

Asymmetric causality among carbon emission from agriculture, energy consumption, fertilizer, and cereal food production - A nonlinear analysis for Pakistan

Mansoor Ahmed Koondhar et al.

Summary: This study investigated the asymmetric causality between agricultural carbon emissions, energy consumption, fertilizer consumption, and cereal food production in Pakistan, finding nonlinear interactions. Results indicate the importance of transitioning from chemical fertilizer and non-renewable energy to organic fertilizer and renewable energy in order to reduce carbon emissions, increase cereal food production, and create a healthy environment.
