Optimizing the First TPR Domain of the Human SPAG1 Protein Provides Insight into the HSP70 and HSP90 Binding Properties

Sana Dermouche et al.

Summary: TPR domains mediate protein:protein interactions and play important roles in the assembly of macromolecular complexes. This study analyzed the binding of HSP C-terminal tails to a variant form of SPAG1-TPR1 with atomic precision, revealing key motifs in TPR sequences that could drive the positioning of HSP peptides.

Expression and Prognosis of Sperm-Associated Antigen 1 in Human Breast Cancer

Shuangyan Lin et al.

Summary: SPAG1 expression is significantly higher in breast cancer tissues compared to normal tissues, and is associated with various clinicopathological features of breast cancer. Breast cancer patients with low SPAG1 expression have a better prognosis with suppressed cell proliferation and colony-forming ability confirmed through functional experiments. These findings suggest a potential role of SPAG1 in breast cancer pathogenesis.
