Facile synthesis of easily separated and reusable silver nanoparticles/aminated alkaline lignin composite and its catalytic ability

The study demonstrates that proper tuning of cobalt doping in MoS2 nanosheets could potentially provide an alternative to noble metal catalysts for the catalytic reduction of nitroarenes.

Ruthenium nanodendrites on reduced graphene oxide: an efficient water and 4-nitrophenol reduction catalyst

Summary: The synthesis of unsupported and reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-reinforced dendritic Ru nanostructures (Ru@rGO) through controlled galvanic replacement reaction with Mg as the sacrificial metal is reported here. The experimental findings highlight Ru@rGO as a promising electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) with excellent activity in a wide range of pH. Additionally, Ru@rGO demonstrates superior performance in the reduction of 4-nitrophenol to 4-aminophenol, showcasing its bi-functionality and adaptability in different catalytic environments. Overall, the unique morphology and interaction between Ru dendrites with rGO contribute to its high HER activity.
