Controllable synthesis of SnS2 nanoflakes as high-performance anode for lithium-ion batteries

Lixiong Yin et al.

Summary: The SnS2 nanoflakes electrode materials synthesized using citric acid as chelating agent exhibited outstanding electrochemical performance and high capacity retention rate. This is mainly attributed to factors such as fast charges, lithium-ions diffusion, and stable structure for SnS2 nanoflakes.

Summary: The study demonstrates the excellent performance of SnS2/C-rGO prepared using hydrothermal and low-temperature chemical vapor deposition technology in LIBs, with a capacity of 952.8 mAh g(-1) and outstanding rate performance. The high performance is attributed to the synergistic effect of the carbon layer and rGO, enhancing the reversibility of the conversion reaction and the cycle stability of SnS2.

The positive effect of 3D interpenetrating network porous structure by carbon membranes on alleviating the volume expansion of SnS2 nanosheets for enhancing lithium and sodium storage

Hao Liu et al.

Summary: Transition-metal sulfide, SnS2, was synthesized using a hydrothermal method combined with a membrane technology to address the volume expansion issue during long-term cycling in lithium/sodium-ion batteries. The resulting flower-like SnS2 nanosheets were uniformly anchored in the pores of a carbon membrane, which effectively alleviated the volume expansion and improved the cycle stability. The unique porous structure provided by the membrane technology ensured abundant charge transfer channels and large volume reservoirs for ion transmission, leading to outstanding electrochemical properties such as high reversible capacitance and rate capability.
