A Developed Transfer Matrix Method for Analysis of Elastic-Plastic Behavior of Structures

Summary: The ductility of structure or component is essential in mitigating damage during earthquakes or other sudden disasters. An improved transfer matrix method, based on elastic-plastic transfer elements, is proposed to analyze the elastic-plastic behavior of structures. This method provides a new way for further research into the mutation process of engineering structures.
