M1 macrophage exosomes engineered to foster M1 polarization and target the IL-4 receptor inhibit tumor growth by reprogramming tumor-associated macrophages into M1-like macrophages

Gowri Rangaswamy Gunassekaran et al.

Summary: In this study, M1 macrophage-derived exosomes were engineered to reprogram TAMs into M1-like macrophages for inhibiting tumor growth. The results showed that systemic administration of these exosomes increased anti-tumor immunity more efficiently than untargeted and control peptide-labeled exosomes.

Bone Marrow Mesenchymal Stem Cells-Derived Extracellular Vesicles Promote Proliferation, Invasion and Migration of Osteosarcoma Cells via the lncRNA MALAT1/miR-143/NRSN2/Wnt/β-Catenin Axis

Fujiang Li et al.

Summary: This study revealed that BMSC-EVs promote proliferation, invasion, and migration of osteosarcoma cells through the MALAT1/miR-143/NRSN2/Wnt/beta-catenin axis. Transfection of miR-143 mimic or si-MALAT1 can reverse the effects of BMSC-EVs. In vivo experiments confirmed that BMSC-EVs enhance tumor growth in nude mice.
