Flowering gene regulation in tomato plants treated with brown seaweed extracts

Madhavi Dookie et al.

Summary: Liquid extracts of seaweeds have shown potential as biostimulants for agricultural plants, improving growth and yield parameters in crop plants. A study on tomato plants treated with brown seaweed extracts revealed significant increases in flower buds, flowers, and fruit numbers. Transcriptional analysis indicated enhanced expression levels of important flowering genes, supporting the potential role of seaweed extracts in promoting flowering in horticultural crops.

Comparative transcriptomics and WGCNA reveal candidate genes involved in petaloid stamens in Paeonia lactiflora

Yongming Fan et al.

Summary: A comparative transcriptomic analysis identified 18 candidate genes involved in the formation of petaloid stamens in Paeonia lactiflora, including MADS-box genes and other transcription factors. These findings provide a theoretical basis for further research on the development pattern of P. lactiflora flower organs.

Weighted gene co-expression network analysis identifies specific modules and hub genes related to Parkinson's disease

Min Yang et al.

Summary: This study identified specific modules and key genes related to Parkinson's disease (PD) by analyzing gene expression profile data and utilizing WGCNA. The results revealed potentially important genes such as SLC18A2, GRIN1, and GRIN2D that may play a role in the pathogenesis of PD.
