Cu-Al2O3-H2O hybrid nanofluid flow with melting heat transfer, irreversibility analysis and nonlinear thermal radiation

F. Mahood et al.

Summary: This study investigates the influence of hybrid nanoparticles on various physical quantities in water-based hybrid nanofluids, particularly focusing on the thermal boundary layer thickness and the effects of flow regime on governing parameters. The results showed that increasing magnetic strength and nanoparticle volume fraction lead to a thicker thermal boundary layer, while nonlinear thermal radiation has the opposite effect.

Plasma Hsp90 levels in patients with systemic sclerosis and relation to lung and skin involvement: a cross-sectional and longitudinal study

Hana Storkanova et al.

Summary: According to the study, plasma levels of Hsp90 are increased in patients with systemic sclerosis compared to healthy controls, and are associated with increased inflammatory activity, worsened lung function, and extent of skin involvement in patients with diffuse cutaneous systemic sclerosis. In patients with systemic sclerosis-associated interstitial lung disease treated with cyclophosphamide, baseline Hsp90 levels can predict changes in DLCO over 12 months of therapy.

MHD Casson nanofluid flow in a square enclosure with non-uniform heating using the Brinkman model

Asia Yasmin et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flow and thermal characteristics of MHD Casson nanofluid in a square enclosure with non-uniform heat source using the Brinkman model. The impact of governing parameters on local Nusselt number, streamlines and isotherms is demonstrated, showing the increase in Raleigh number results in sharp temperature rise in the middle of the enclosure with steeper thermal distribution near the walls. High values of the Rayleigh number also highlight the effect of the magnetic field as a force of retardation.

Energy and mass transport of Casson nanofluid flow over a slanted permeable inclined surface

K. Rafique et al.

Summary: The study investigates the effects of chemical reaction and heat generation/absorption on Casson nanofluid flow over a nonlinear slanted extending sheet. By using appropriate transformations, governing nonlinear PDE's are reduced to nonlinear ODE's. The Keller-box numerical technique is employed for simulation, and the results show that the inclination and Casson factor decrease liquid velocity while increasing energy and mass transport rates.
