Effect of hydrogen spillover on the surface of tungsten oxide on hydrogenation of cyclohexene and N-propylcarbazole

Summary: The Ru-WO3 catalysts exhibit good catalytic activity in the hydrogenation of cyclohexene, and can achieve rapid hydrogen uptake of NPCZ at a lower metal loading and temperature due to the increase of reactive sites caused by hydrogen spillover.

Summary: The valorization of lignocellulosic biomass, specifically the catalytic hydrotreatment of hemicellulose-based furfural, has been studied for the production of value-added chemicals. A three-phase batch reactor was used for the hydrotreatment over various MoOx catalysts, resulting in isopropyl levulinate as the major product. The presence or absence of gaseous H-2 pressure did not contribute significantly to the global reaction rate or selectivity.

Tungsten(VI) oxide supported rhodium nanoparticles: Highly active catalysts in hydrogen generation from ammonia borane

Summary: The study demonstrates that Rh0/WO3 (0.5% wt. Rh) catalyst shows high catalytic activity in the hydrolysis of ammonia borane, mainly attributed to its reducible nature as the support. Additionally, compared to colloidal(0) nanoparticles, Rh0/WO3 (0.5% wt. Rh) catalyst exhibits better performance in terms of activity, recyclability, and reusability.
