A changed research landscape of youth's obesogenic behaviours and environments in the post-COVID-19 era

Peng Jia

Summary: The OBECHO project reviewed studies on obesogenic environmental determinants for childhood obesity prior to 2019, providing important evidence for policy-making and future research agendas. The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted youth's interaction with obesogenic environments and lifestyle behaviors, prompting a shift towards more reliable evidence through modern research modes. We should closely monitor and study the abnormalities caused by COVID-19 and associated interventions.
