Modeling and Box-Behnken design optimization of photocatalytic parameters for efficient removal of dye by lanthanum-doped mesoporous TiO2

Hanane Chaker et al.

Summary: In this study, the Box-Behnken design in the response surface methodology was used to investigate the modelization and optimization of Methyl Orange mineralization parameters with La doped mesoporous TiO2. The effects of irradiation light wavelength, catalyst weight, and MO concentration on the yield of MO mineralization were studied. The optimized conditions were determined to be 310 nm light wavelength, 80 mg catalyst weight, and 20 ppm MO concentration, achieving a mineralization rate of 99.89%.
