Summary: A Schiff-base colorimetric probe Receptor 1 was synthesized and used for sensing Cu+ 2 ions in CH3OH/H2O solvent system. Receptor 1 exhibited discriminating spectral behavior towards Cu2+ ions with a red-shift peak at 405 nm. The interaction was confirmed through Density Functional Theory (DFT) studies, showing a strong association with high stability and a calculated limit of detection (LOD) of 179 nM.

Summary: Size-controlled Pb0.06Fe0.7O3 nanoparticles (Pb-FeONPs) were fabricated by the thermal co-precipitation method and characterized using various techniques. The adsorption of Congo Red (CR) onto Pb-FeONPs was found to follow a pseudo-second-order reaction, with the Langmuir plot showing good fitting and a high Q(max) value. The nanoparticles were successfully regenerated for up to 5 cycles, making them economically viable for wastewater treatment applications.
