Water quality assessment, multivariate analysis and human health risks of heavy metals in eight major lakes in Kenya

Summary: This study evaluated the water quality, concentrations, and health risks of heavy metals in eight major lakes in Kenya. The results showed that Lake Magadi had the best water quality while Lake Naivasha had the worst, with heavy metals mainly originating from anthropogenic sources.
