Summary: Gridded climate datasets are essential for weather and climate research. This study evaluated the performance of three different datasets in simulating precipitation and drought characteristics in 20 wine production regions in Greece. Results showed that E-OBS and Agri4Cast performed well, with strengths and weaknesses depending on season and specific rainfall characteristics.
