Synthesis and identification of new thermostable polyamides containing xanthene units with antibacterial properties and relevant composite grafted with modified GO nanoparticles

Diyari Khaki et al.

Summary: New diamine monomers containing ether linkages, polar trifluoromethyl (-CF3), and xanthene segments were synthesized to prepare high-performance polyamides (PAs) through condensation polymerization with different dicarboxylic acids. The polyamides exhibited enhanced properties when combined with modified graphene oxide nano particles (m-GO NPs). Adsorption studies of chromium ions from aqueous solutions were also conducted at 25 degrees C and pH 7-8.

Hierarchical mesoporous zinc-imidazole dicarboxylic acid MOFs: Surfactant-directed synthesis, pH-responsive degradation, and drug delivery

Mehdi Abedi et al.

Summary: The surfactant template-directed solvothermal method was used to synthesize hierarchical mesoporous zinc-imidazolate derivative metal-organic frameworks (mesoMOFs), which were then loaded with cisplatin (cis-Pt) with high efficiency. The mesoMOFs exhibited high surface area, pore diameter, and total pore volume under optimal reaction conditions. Interestingly, the mesoMOFs showed pH-responsive degradation and rapid release of cisplatin under mildly acidic conditions, demonstrating superior anti-cancer efficacy compared to free drugs in resistant ovarian tumor cells.

Shima Amini et al.

Summary: An online micro solid-phase extraction method using electrospun nanofibers was developed to efficiently extract chlorobenzenes, followed by high performance liquid chromatography analysis. The method showed good linearity and detection limits for the target analytes, with acceptable intra-day and inter-day repeatability. The performance of the method was confirmed by determining the target analytes in different spiked samples.
