Summary: Through the use of satellite data and a specific method, the spatial distribution and characteristics of mature rubber plantations in Mainland Southeast Asia and Yunnan province are studied. The results show typical features of rubber plantations, including new plantations at higher and lower elevations, more cultivation in border areas, and a northward movement of plantations.
