Finite element simulations for natural convective flow of nanofluid in a rectangular cavity having corrugated heated rods

Naeem Ullah et al.

Summary: Numerical simulations were conducted to investigate natural convection in a rectangular cavity containing CuO-water nanofluid. The results showed that thermal distribution and flow field became stronger with increasing Rayleigh numbers and wavelength numbers. The increase in nanoparticle volume fraction was found to enhance heat transfer rate due to dominant convection.

Computational study on nanoparticle shape effects of Al2O3-silicon oil nanofluid flow over a radially stretching rotating disk

S. Saranya et al.

Summary: This study investigates the shape effect of Al2O3 nanoparticles in a nanofluid flow, finding that platelet-shaped nanoparticles have the highest dynamic viscosity and blade-shaped nanoparticles have the strongest thermal conductivity. Friction coefficient is higher with magnetic field strength and disk radial stretching, while heat transfer rate significantly increases when neglecting magnetic field and radiation effects.

Computation of radiative Marangoni (thermocapillary) magnetohydrodynamic convection in a Cu-water based nanofluid flow from a disk in porous media: Smart coating simulation

MD. Shamshuddin et al.

Summary: This paper develops a mathematical model for the study of steady radiative heat transfer and Marangoni magnetohydrodynamic flow of a Cu-water nanofluid under the influence of a strong magnetic field through a porous disk. Analysis of various control parameter values shows that temperature decreases with increasing Marangoni parameter, while flow accelerates.
