Theoretical study of electro-osmotic multiphase flow of Jeffrey fluid in a divergent channel with lubricated walls

This theoretical study focuses on the flow dynamics of multiphase non-Newtonian fluid through a divergent channel. Utilizing the Jeffrey fluid model and lubrication effects, the study highlights the impact of electric potential on two-phase flow, concluding that lubrication effects are more significant near rigid walls and electro-osmotic flow can be enhanced by adjusting the zeta potential difference.
This theoretical study explores the flow dynamics of multiphase non-Newtonian fluid flow through the divergent channel. Jeffrey fluid model is taken as the base liquid which suspends with tiny and spherical shaped metallic particles. To attenuate skin friction of rigid walls of the channel lubrication effects are applied as well. Poisson-Boltzmann equation highlights the presence of electric potential contributing to two-phase flow. An exact solution is achieved for the electro-osmotic particulate flow of Jeffrey fluid. A concise discussion elaborates the contribution of the most effective parameter in the light of parametric study. The graphical results are found to in complete agreement with theoretical results and with the physical expectation of the geometry. It is inferred that lubrication effects are more prominent beside the rigid walls and electro-osmotic flow can be enhanced by suitably adjusting the zeta potential difference.
