Characterization and functional analysis of a β-adrenergic-like octopamine receptor from the oriental armyworm (Mythimna separata Walker)

Summary: The study identified that the MsOA2B2 gene in Mythimna separata has different expression levels in various developmental stages, with higher expression in egg stages and the second and fourth instars. Further analysis revealed that the gene is expressed at a higher level in the head of sixth instar larvae. Additionally, dietary ingestion of dsMsOA2B2 led to reduced expression levels of MsOA2B2 and decreased mortality following amitraz treatment.
