Newly designed and synthesized heterobimetallic [CuII-DyIII] salamo-like complex: structural characterization, DFT calculation, and fluorescent property

Yong-Fan Cui et al.

Summary: The heterobimetallic Cu-Dy complex based on a symmetric ligand was synthesized and characterized, showing different coordination geometries for Cu and Dy atoms. The complex formed specific structures through intermolecular interactions, leading to 2D and 3D supramolecular structures. The paramagnetism of Cu(2+) ions resulted in fluorescence quenching in the complex.

A novel O-phenanthroline-based bis(half-salamo)-like chemical sensor: For rapid and efficient continuous recognition of Cu2+, HPO42- and H2PO4-

Ruo-Nan Bian et al.

Summary: The fluorescent chemical sensor Lpov can detect Cu2+ by fluorescence quenching and its complex with Cu2+ shows high stability, enabling the detection of HPO42- and H2PO4- within a specific range. The high binding constant of Lpov indicates the stability of the complex formed with Cu2+.

Investigation on structurally different Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes constructed from a novel pyridine-terminal salamo-like ligand

Ji-Fa Wang et al.

Summary: A novel structurally characterized salamo-like ligand H2L has been designed and synthesized, leading to the formation of Cu(II) and Ni(II) complexes. The Cu(II) complex shows a four-coordinated twisted quadrilateral geometry, while the Ni(II) complex exhibits a slightly distorted octahedral geometry with six-coordination, resulting in the formation of chiral MOFs. Spectroscopic analyses and magnetic analyses were carried out to study the properties of these complexes.
